Meet Lainey!
Lainey is a tiny Maltese with a big personality and an even bigger love for cuddles who recently joined AFRP after coming to us from Hollister Animal Services!
This sweet girl may be a little shy and hesitant when she first meets someone or finds herself in a new situation, but give her a little time and she'll quickly show you just how affectionate she can be. Once she's comfortable, Lainey's wiggly tail goes a mile a minute, and she'll happily curl up beside you for some quality couch time.
Lainey is a true fan of pets and has mastered the art of making sure they never stop, so you can be sure she'll gently tuck her head back under your hand whenever you pause! She sleeps peacefully in her crate at night, is a quiet companion in the car, and is getting more confident with longer walks. She's great on leash and is potty trained, though she'll benefit from continued support to keep up her progress.
Lainey can be a little unsure around large dogs and in busy, chaotic environments with lots of people and cars, but she becomes more confident as she gets comfortable. At this time, it's unknown how she may do with cats in the home. She's looking for a patient family with adult adopters or children over the age of six who will give her the time and encouragement she needs to settle in and blossom. Once she does, you'll have a sweet, cuddly little shadow who is sure to make you smile every day!
