Meet Shaggy!

This handsome three-year-old Bernadoodle is a mellow, affectionate guy who believes there's no such thing as too much human attention - or too many cuddles! Shaggy just arrived at AFRP with Velma, who we believe may be his sister through some sort of relation (though not littermates). At about 57 pounds, he's a big-hearted boy with an equally big love for his people.

While we is new to us, we have already learned some things about Shaggy. He's a nice walking companion and does well on a leash, but he'll benefit from basic obedience training to help him build confidence and learn some good manners. Since he's not particularly food-motivated, his new family may need to get creative with training rewards - fortunately, this sweet boy is highly motivated by attention, affection, and spending time with people!

His favorite place is right beside you, whether that means relaxing at your feet or snuggling up for some quality cuddle time. He's looking for a family who will give him patience, guidance, and plenty of love as he settles into his new life.

And that gorgeous Bernadoodle coat? It will require regular professional grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best.

We don't know about his potty training habits yet, but his foster is beginning him with crate training and has already reported that he has been sleeping quietly through the night and doing well with going outside for his potty breaks.
