Meet Max!
This outgoing kitten came to AFRP after Hollister Animal Services reached out for help with a nursing mom and her five surrogate kittens. Now, Max, his siblings, and mama Lucy, are ready to find their furever homes!
Max is bright, outgoing, cuddly, and active! He is the largest of his litter, and seems to be growing into the big brother archetype. Max sometimes hangs out in his scratcher tree, just watching over the rest of his siblings. He seems to really enjoy wearing his supervisorial hat, if you will. When he puts on his gym clothes though, he's all business. He often leads the litter in a climbing competition. Max enjoys playing and exploring with his siblings, but come nap-time, he's a huge fan of a cozy lap. Like the rest of his littermates, Max has a roaring purr, and he's not shy about using it!
His frame is larger than the others, especially his hind legs; he will likely be a big boy when fully grown. He would do best in a home with adult adopters or families with cat-savvy children over the age of 10. Max would love to be adopted with another one of his siblings, but would likely do fine in a home with another playful kitty. He has some exposure to large-breed dogs, but will need continued slow introductions to any doggy companion in the home.
Max is currently residing at the AFRP Adoption Center and would love to meet you! Public visiting hours are held Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
To schedule a one-on-one meet and greet with Max, please submit an online adoption application. Once your application has been received and approved by AFRP staff, we'll be happy to arrange a time for you to meet him!
