Ringo is a 16-pound Lhasa Apso with a story that will tug at your heart—but his spirit is nothing but joy. He was found as a stray wearing an electric shock collar and dragging a harness attached to a 10-foot tether. We may never know why, but what we do know is that none of that dimmed his sweet, happy nature.

Today, Ringo is safe, freshly groomed, and recently neutered—and he’s absolutely thriving.

Here’s what makes Ringo so special:

Ringo has a gentle, laid-back personality that makes him an easy companion. While we’re not 100% sure about his potty training, he appears to be doing well and settling nicely into a home routine.

After everything he’s been through, Ringo is more than ready for a forever family who will treat him with the kindness he’s always deserved.
