Fudge came to the shelter along with about a dozen other puppies. It seems their previous owner may have had two accidental litters at the same time and no longer wanted to care for the puppies they produced. Fudge is believed to be a Shar-Pei and Jack Russell Terrier mix — and he’s every bit as adorable as that sounds!

This sweet guy has a big personality and thinks he’s pretty funny (and honestly, he is). Fudge loves snuggles, treats, and toys of all kinds. He’s bursting with affection and can’t wait to bring laughter and love to his forever home.

* Oglesby - We won’t be at our usual Oglesby stop this week but dogs can be picked up in Bloomington, Peoria or Davenport.

Medical & Spay/Neuter Information:
Fudge has had two rounds of puppy vaccines, has been de-wormed and is on flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

Puppies under 6 months of age are not spayed or neutered. Spaying or neutering is a required condition of adoption and must be completed by the puppy’s first birthday or by your veterinarian's recommendation, at the adopter’s expense. Out-of-state surgery costs are not included in the adoption fee.

Breed is our best estimate based on the puppy’s appearance and, when known, the mother’s appearance. Fathers are rarely known, and litters can have multiple fathers, meaning puppies may be half-siblings with different breed mixes.

Shar Peis have a unique appearance with a hippopotamus like face and a broad, padded muzzle. Their coat can be either horse coat or brush coat, coming in a variety of colors. While they can be aloof with strangers, Shar Peis are devoted companions with a calm demeanor, making them wonderful family pets.
