Meet Granite, a two-and-a-half-month-old Lab/German Shepherd mix weighing 14 pounds.
Flint is a sweet puppy who came to us through our My Last Litter Program, an initiative that helps reduce pet overpopulation by spaying mother dogs while finding loving homes for their puppies. Thanks to this program, Flint is ready to find a loving family and start his journey toward a bright future.
While Flint is friendly and affectionate, he's a little more reserved than some of his siblings. He likes to take a moment to observe new people and situations before diving in, but once he feels comfortable, his loving personality shines. Flint is especially human-oriented and enjoys staying connected with his people. He frequently checks in with his person for reassurance and guidance, showing the kind of attentiveness that can help build a strong bond with his future family.
Like all puppies, Flint is still learning about the world around him. His adopters should expect normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, exploring with his mouth, playful antics, and occasional accidents while he learns his house-training routine. Puppies require patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement to help them develop good habits and confidence.
Flint will benefit from continued socialization and basic training to help him grow into a well-adjusted adult dog. Positive experiences with new people, places, and situations will help him become more confident, while obedience training can teach important skills such as leash walking, polite greetings, and basic commands. Because he naturally looks to his people for guidance, Flint is likely to enjoy learning and forming a close partnership with his family.
Flint is searching for a home that will provide him with love, encouragement, and the time to continue building his confidence. In return, he'll offer plenty of affection, companionship, and the special connection that comes from a puppy who truly enjoys being near his people.
