Meet Chardonnay!

Four year old, former breeder momma, Chardonnay, is sweet and playful. She absolutely loves the resident dogs in her foster home and is incredibly affectionate with her foster parents. Because new people and busy environments make her nervous, Chardonnay is looking for a patient, low-key family committed to a slow-paced lifestyle. When she meets someone new, she shows her shyness by barking, so she will need a family dedicated to slow, properly managed introductions. To ensure her comfort, she needs a home with older children, as younger kids can move too quickly and be too unpredictable for her. It is also essential that her new home includes another confident dog to show her the ropes, build her confidence, and help her thrive.

Char continues to absolutely ace every aspect of her retired life. She is sleeping through the night, eating great, playing happily with the other dogs, showering her foster parents with affection, and an absolute superstar with her house-training. Char enjoys splashing in the baby pool and licking frozen peanut butter kongs; she is starting to enjoy walks in the neighborhood but still needs to build her confidence a little.
