Rayna - Labrador Retriever Dog for Adoption in Princeton, Massachusetts

RAYNA

Labrador Retriever
🇺🇸
Princeton, Massachusetts
September 16th
female, large, young

DESCRIPTION

Meet Rayna, a beautiful one-year-old girl with a sweet, affectionate personality and a whole lot of love to give!
Rayna and her sister and brother, Rylan and Ryder (also up for adoption) were sadly dumped when they were only about five or six months old. A kind person took them in but eventually realized she couldn't safely care for all three, so they were surrendered to a Texas rescue and are now in a foster home, where they're finally getting the care and guidance they deserve.

Of the three siblings, Rayna and her sister are a little more adventurous and like to explore more than their brother, who is more laid back.

All three are young dogs with plenty of energy, though, and would love an active family who will include him in walks, runs, playtime, and other adventures--and then make room for plenty of snuggles afterward!

They do well with other dogs and have lived with and interacted with larger dogs. They haven't had experience with small dogs yet, but he would likely enjoy having a canine companion around their own size to romp and play with.
All have also been introduced to cats and actually seem a little unsure of them! None showed any aggression toward cats, although, like many young dogs, they may be tempted to chase if a cat runs.

They have done well with older children, and since they haven't had experience with younger kids and are still learning not to jump up when excited, older children would be the best fit for now.

A professional dog walker works with the three weekly, and they are doing very well learning leash manners. They also travel nicely in the car without needing to be crated.

All are house trained using a doggie door, so their new family will need to help him learn how to signal when they need to go outside if a doggie door isn't available. While they are not crate trained, they are kennel trained and do very well in his kennel. He and his sisters are also working on basic manners and learning all the things young dogs need to know to become wonderful family companions.

Rayna would thrive with an active family who will continue her training, give her plenty of exercise and playtime, and--most importantly, all the love and closeness she deserves. After such an uncertain beginning, Rayna is ready to leave her past behind and finally discover what it feels like to be someone's beloved forever dog.
