Imagine giving someone your whole heart, believing you've found your forever family, and then suddenly finding yourself back where you started. That's what happened to Drax. Not once, but twice! When a dog is returned after being adopted, they don't understand why their family is gone. They only know that the people they loved are no longer there. For sweet Drax, losing his family was heartbreaking. Thankfully, one of his original fosters was able to welcome him back and give him the love, comfort, and security he needed to begin healing. Now, we're hoping someone out there will see this amazing boy for who he truly is and give him the second chance he deserves.
Drax is a sweet and well behaved boy. He is dog friendly and does well with children. He has great manners, isn't destructive, and can be trusted to roam freely in the home. He loves getting out for walks and does well on a leash. Drax is 7 years old, weighs 75 lbs and is 47% Labrador Retriever, 38% Pit Bull, 9% Staffordshire Terrier, 4% Boxer, and 2% Golden Retriever, according to Wisdom Panel. Drax has already experienced the heartbreak of losing a family. Now he needs someone who will make a promise to him and mean it, a family who will love him for the rest of his life.

Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
