Maybelline - Great Pyrenees and Labrador Retriever Dog for Adoption in Frisco, Texas

Maybelline (named for her impressive eyeliner) is a 4 year old Great Pyrenees mix weighing 80lbs. She is an incredibly sweet and friendly girl with the best demeanor. When a new person enters her foster home, she absolutely can't wait to be loved on and will often greet them with a bear hug. Afterwards, she wants even more pets! While cute, she's a big girl, so her foster mom is working to break this habit. For now, we're recommending no young children that would get knocked over by her embrace.

Maybelline also loves other dogs, especially playing with big dogs in the backyard. Along with enjoying attention and playtime, she is very food motivated and will never pass up a treat! She is also potty trained, and her foster mom does not need to kennel her when she leaves the house.

Given that she's lived who knows how many years on the street, Maybelline tends to be nervous outside the home. Before being rescued, it's hard to say if she'd ever been in a car, on a leash, or even inside before. Right now, when encountering these new things, she just hunkers down and wants to go back inside to safety. She's working with The Tasch Pack to build up her confidence outside the home and is searching for a forever family who can continue to help her. Luckily, she's beyond happy and affectionate in the safe walls of her foster home; we're just hoping to extend that confidence a bit further!

Maybelline is the most loving girl deserving of a family just as doting. She is currently available for adoption!

*Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row):

Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee

Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee

Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
