Dak - Great Dane and Boxer Dog for Adoption in Frisco, Texas

Dak is 8 weeks old now and ready to start his pre-adoption trial! With football season officially underway, we thought it was the perfect time to introduce Rescue Row's newest little team, the Football Crew!

These sweet puppies made their way to Rescue Row from Oklahoma after one of our amazing animal advocates came across a post about an accidental litter in need of help. Their owners are both facing cancer and, due to their unfortunate health circumstances, were no longer able to provide the care the puppies needed.

We have confirmed that Dad has already been neutered, and Mom is scheduled to be spayed once her milk dries up.

Originally, we were only planning to take in the three remaining girls. But the night before they were set to come to Rescue Row, the tiny runt of the litter, a little 2 lb boy, was returned. Of course, we couldn't leave him behind, so we scooped him up too!

Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee

Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee

Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.

The boxer is a medium to large sized dog breed known for its muscular build, distinctive square head, and energetic personality. Boxers are loyal, affectionate, and good natured companions, making them an ideal family pet. They are intelligent, playful, and love to be around people, making them excellent with children. Boxers require consistent training, plenty of exercise, and socialization to thrive. With their strong work ethic and protective instincts, boxers excel in various roles, including as service dogs, therapy dogs, and in dog sports.

With roots dating back to ancient times, this breed is valued for its noble appearance and loyal temperament. Great Danes are known to be excellent family companions, often forming strong bonds with their owners. Despite their intimidating stature, they are generally gentle and affectionate, making them great pets for families of all sizes. Their easygoing nature and playful personality make them a popular choice for those seeking a loving and regal companion.
