Foster or Adopter Needed by 6/3/26

Pin needs a committed foster or adopter to secure his ride from Fort Bend Animal Services in Texas to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on 6/3/26 in partnership with Dog Is My CoPilot. Without a home commitment, he cannot make transport.

Meet Pin

Pin’s story has not been an easy one, but he has never stopped being happy, playful, and full of life. When he first arrived at the shelter, he was heartbreakingly underweight. Staff later learned he had been missing for four months, and sadly, his owner had moved out of state and could not take him back.

Since then, Pin has made an incredible comeback and is now healthy, happy, and ready for a fresh start.

Pin is a fun-loving, energetic dog who loves toys, especially squeaky toys, and enjoys playing tug-of-war. He already knows how to sit and is very motivated by treats and attention. He has done well with other dogs in shelter playgroups, though he can be a little exuberant and puppy-like at first because he is so excited to play.

He walks well on a leash overall, but after spending months in the shelter he sometimes gets overly excited and grabs the leash to play tug while walking. Staff are working with him on this, and they believe being out of the shelter environment will help him continue to improve.

Pin has not been tested with cats. Due to his energetic play style and excitement around treats, he would likely do best with older children.
