This beautiful golden mixed-breed girl will soon be making the journey to Oregon from our wonderful rescue partners on Hawaii's Big Island, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome her into the Street Dog Hero family. Like many former street dogs, we don't know much about Minnie's life before she was found as a stray and brought to the shelter. What we do know, however, is that she's already captured the hearts of those caring for her. Minnie is the kind of dog who greets you eagerly at the front of her kennel, always hoping for a friendly hello and a few well-deserved pets. She's affectionate, people-oriented, and loves soaking up attention whenever it's offered. As Minnie settles into her new life here in Oregon, we'll continue learning more about her unique personality, favorite activities, and all the little things that make her so special. We'll also be sharing additional updates, photos, and more information as she begins this exciting new chapter. As a foster home-based rescue, our first priority is helping dogs like Minnie transition into loving temporary foster homes where they can decompress, adjust to their new surroundings, and prepare for life with their forever families. Of course, if an approved adopter is already waiting for her, she may have the opportunity to head straight into an adoption trial.
