Oakley - Labrador Retriever and Corgi Dog for Adoption in Austin, Texas

Oakley was part of an unwanted litter of puppies. Unfortunately, this is very common where we rescue, and we try to prevent them from going to the shelter. We were able to save Oakley, because one of our fosters brought him into her home.
He has been in our care for a month and has now completed his veterinary care. We hope he’ll find a wonderful home soon.

Oakley does great with other dogs of any age and size, and he does well with cats too. He is wonderful with children and loves to be held. He is in a foster home with children as young as 6. He is almost house trained and is learning how to walk on a leash.

Oakley weighs 20 pounds, and he is 4 months old. We think he is a Lab and Corgi mix, because he has short legs. He will likely be a medium sized adult.

Oakley is neutered, vaccinated for rabies, DHPP and Bordetella. He is also microchipped, heartworm negative and is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Oakley can arrive in Poughkeepsie, New York on 10/24. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the application found here: https://throwadogabone.org/adopt.
