Labrador Retriever and Great Pyrenees Dogs Available for Adoption in Riverdale, Iowa

If you’ve ever wished for a giant teddy bear that walks on four legs, Murphy may be your guy. This almost 17 week old Lab/Great Pyrenees mix already weighs 40#. Don’t let his size fool you. Murphy is a gentle, sweet soul with the cutest clumsy puppy gait that makes everyone smile. He’s still growing into those big paws and lovable body.

Murphy is playful without being wild and has a calm, easygoing nature for such a young pup. He’s not a jumper, walks nicely on a leash, and already knows “sit.” His foster family is working on more basic commands and he is eager to learn. He is also crate trained and almost house trained. He rarely has accidents and when he does they are small, tinkle accidents.

Murphy loves other dogs, has done well with cats, and has been very respectful with the kids he has met. He truly has the kind of temperament people dream about, soft, gentle, affectionate, and happy just being near his people.

This sweet boy is going to grow into a very big dog with an even bigger heart.

Murphy is current on vaccines and prevention, and is microchipped. He will be adopted on a neuter contract to give him time to grow. His adoption fee is $350. Adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad Cities. All pets currently in the home must be routinely kept up to date on shots, prevention and fixed to be approved for adoption.
