Miniature Schnauzer Dogs Available for Adoption in Riverdale, Iowa

Whiskey is a distinguished gentleman with a fabulous beard and a personality to match. Whiskey is here to steal hearts and laps in equal measure. This 6 to 7 year old Miniature Schnauzer is the perfect blend of confident, loyal, and smart… basically everything people love about the breed.

Whiskey is a happy, friendly guy who enjoys the company of dog savvy kids and settles in nicely with his people. He can be a little unsure around men at first, but give him a few treats, some gentle pets, and a little patience, and he’ll warm up just fine. Once you’re in his circle, you’re in for life. He’s incredibly loyal and loves being close to his humans (preferably in your lap, thank you very much).

Whiskey is crate trained, has excellent house manners (no accidents in his foster home!), and will politely let you know when visitors arrive with his signature schnauzer alert bark. True to his breed, he’s bright, expressive, and always paying attention to what’s going on around him.

Whiskey does have one small request, he’s not a big fan of having his feet handled during grooming. He will need a patient groomer and regular appointments to keep his coat looking sharp and mat free. Trust us, maintaining that distinguished look is worth it.

Whiskey is neutered, current on vaccines and prevention, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $300. To meet him, please submit an application at www.k9kindnessrescue.org/adopt. As a reminder, we are not a shelter location and require a scheduled meet and greet.

Adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad Cities. All pets currently in the home must be routinely kept up to date on shots, prevention and fixed to be approved for adoption.
