DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Hi there! My name is Baby Reed, and I'm a tiny little sprout from the Nature Litter (Sky, Flower, Reed, River, Asher, Willow). We're what the humans call a Heinz 57 mix, which basically means we're a fun mystery blend. The best guess is Lab, Beagle, Chihuahua, and Boxer — pretty cool, right? That probably means I'll grow up to be a medium-sized pup, just the perfect size for adventures and cuddles. My story started in Alabama, where my siblings and I were found living in the grass outside a business by a lawn mowing crew. It wasn't the safest place for little puppies like us, and sadly our mama wasn't around. But the good news? Some wonderful humans rescued us, and now we're safe with K-9 Lifesavers in a cozy foster home while we search for our forever families.
I'm everything you'd expect from a puppy — sweet, playful, curious, and full of wiggles. I love other dogs and have a great time playing with my siblings and foster friends. But one of my favorite things is being held and cuddled by my humans. I melt right into your arms! At my young age, I'm in the perfect stage to learn all the good puppy things like training, manners, and how to be the best companion ever. So... are you ready for a little sunshine in your life? If you're looking for a loving, playful pup to grow up with your family, I might just be your guy. Apply to adopt me and let's start our forever adventure together!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
