Frost (MR26-328) - Husky Dog for Adoption in Peyton, Colorado

FROST (MR26-328)

Husky
🇺🇸
Peyton, Colorado
July 2nd
female, medium, senior

DESCRIPTION

Frost is an 8 year old husky who's learning all about life as a pet in her cozy foster home. She seeks out her foster parent for pets and enjoys basking in the sun near her furry foster sibling. When it comes to meal times, she may not expect a private chef, but she does have very high standards and enjoys eating on her own timeline so a little patience goes a long way with this posh girl!

Frost is looking for a foster to adopt hospice placement as she is living with congestive heart failure and significant heart conditions. Frost has been seen by a cardiologist and requires daily medications and additional appointments for testing before she will be medically cleared to undergo anesthesia for her spay. Don't let her medical fool you though, it certainly hasn't affected her ability to love and be loved.

NMDR is committed to supporting Frost throughout her life and will cover medical expenses, within reason, that are directly related to her pre-existing conditions, as recommended by our veterinary team. Her family should be prepared to work closely with NMDR to ensure she remains as healthy and comfortable as possible.

If you have room in your heart for a dog who asks for little more patience, kindness, and a soft place to land, Frost is waiting to meet you.
------
Many NMDR dogs have had limited prior socialization and may need time, patience, and support as they adjust to home life. Skills such as house training, leash walking, and handling may require continued practice. Progress will vary by individual dog. Homes with older children are often a good fit, depending on temperament. To learn more about NMDR and our adoption process, please visit our website.
