Meet Ruffles - A Sweet Boy Finding His Confidence

Ruffles is a one-year-old Aussie who weighs 31 pounds and is discovering that the world is full of wonderful things. This handsome boy is naturally sweet and gentle, though he can be a little shy when meeting new people or facing new experiences.

Once Ruffles feels comfortable, his affectionate side quickly shines through. He enjoys attention, loves spending time with his people, and is eager to build connections with those he trusts. Watching him open up and show his loving personality is one of the many things that makes him so special.

Ruffles has a curious nature and is becoming braver with each passing day. He enjoys exploring his surroundings and learning about the world around him. He's also working on leash walking and is making progress as he gains confidence and experience.

This young boy will thrive in a patient home that understands that growth takes time. He doesn't need perfection-he just needs someone willing to cheer him on as he continues to learn and blossom.

Ruffles would be happy with a canine companion to help show him the ropes, but he would also do just fine as an only dog, soaking up all the love and attention for himself.

With a little patience and a lot of love, Ruffles is ready to become the loyal companion and best friend he was always meant to be.

------
Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!
