Long-Term Project was neglected and starved by his previous owner, .When they finally surrendered him to the shelter, he weighed a measly 23 lbs - less than half his ideal body weight. He was crippled by pain from unchecked ear infections and arthritis.

Despite his poor condition, Project quickly found his way into the shelter volunteers' hearts. They describe him as a sleepy old man who likes things on his own terms. He may take a little time to warm up, but once he's comfortable you'll discover a lovable, hilarious companion with plenty of personality. He prefers calm dogs who can co-exist peacefully with him.

Project is now at 35 lbs and is receiving ongoing treatment for his ears. He'll receive additional vet care and diagnostics once he arrives at his foster home tomorrow (September 26). We're hopeful that with proper care and attention, he will be available for adoption soon.
