Skye - Husky Dog for Adoption in Humble, Texas

Meet Skye! Her journey to our rescue started unexpectedly when she was advertised online for free due to her previous owner's lack of time. Recognizing the potential risks for a free puppy, we gladly welcomed this striking girl into our program.
Skye is currently living in a wonderful foster home (in North-east Houston) where she has proven to be incredibly adaptable. She is doing fantastic around other dogs, a resident cat, and children. As you can see from her photos and video, she is happy, healthy, and thriving! Skye is now ready to find her permanent, loving home.

Here’s what makes Skye special:

- Approximately 11 pounds - should be medium size dog when fully grown
- Believed to be a Husky mix - she does have a double coat
- Born around 8/8/2026
- Up to date on age appropriate vaccines
- Good with dogs
- Good with cats
- Good with kids
- Already knows how to sit
- Kennel trained
- Very confident - handles new experiences very well
- Rides well in a stroller/car/golf cart
- Very smart and eager to learn
- Doing great with potty training
- Has never had an accident in the house

Why a Husky mix?

Huskies are intelligent, energetic, and athletic dogs who thrive with active families. They can make wonderful family companions but they need a home that understands their energy and mental stimulation needs.

Skye’s ideal family will be active and ready to make exercise and playtime part of everyday life. Daily walks, adventures, training, interactive play, and opportunities to use her smart little brain will help her thrive. A Husky mix is not a “set and forget” dog — she needs a family willing to keep her busy, engaged, and included.

Skye is also still a baby, so her new family will need to continue her training and socialization. She will need patience, consistency, structure, and lots of positive experiences as she grows into the amazing adult dog she is meant to become.
