Peace is a stunning 1-year-old white Husky with a beautiful spirit that's just waiting for the right family to discover her. She came to us as a stray, so we don't know much about her past, but we're excited to help her find the bright future she deserves.

This sweet girl has already shown us so many wonderful qualities. She is:
🐱 Good with cats
👧 Good with kids
🚶 Walks nicely on a leash
🚗 Rides well in the car
🏡 We believe she is housetrained

Peace can be selective about other dogs, so we'd be happy to help arrange a meet-and-greet if you already have a canine companion at home.

Like many Huskies, Peace is smart, active, and would love a family that will include her in their daily adventures while giving her plenty of love and attention. At the end of the day, all she's really looking for is a place to call home and people she can call her own.

Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.

Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM.
All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet.
Fees:
Dogs over 6 months old: $100
Puppies under 6 months: $200.
Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip).

NOTE: Our adoptions are first come first served, simply filling out an application does not mean the animal will be held for you, you must come meet the animal in person in order to be considered for adoption.
If you rent you must bring your lease or a letter from your landlord stating you may adopt.

These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
