Bear is a 8-month-old German Shepherd/Husky mix with a big heart and an even bigger future. At already 45 pounds, this handsome boy is going to grow into a large, active companion who will thrive with a family ready to include him in all of life's adventures.

Bear is incredibly sweet and loves spending time with people. Like any puppy, he's curious, playful, and eager to learn. With continued training, plenty of exercise, and lots of love, he's sure to grow into an amazing lifelong companion.

The best part? Bear is already neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations, so he's completely ready to pack his bags and head home with his new family!

Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.

Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM.
All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet.
Fees:
Dogs over 6 months old: $100
Puppies under 6 months: $200.
Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip).

NOTE: Our adoptions are first come first served, simply filling out an application does not mean the animal will be held for you, you must come meet the animal in person in order to be considered for adoption.
If you rent you must bring your lease or a letter from your landlord stating you may adopt.
