Hugh - Hound Dog for Adoption in Defiance, Ohio

Mr. Hugh is an adorable little Hound mix that was recently transferred to our shelter from a larger scale shelter in desperate need of help.

Hugh is a big brown-eyed cutie that is ALL puppy! Hugh is playful, curious, clumsy, and just a little awkward on his paws. He has been one of the sweetest dogs and is a huge fan of everyone he meets. No one is a stranger and everyone is a potential best bud.

Despite being all wiggles and silliness, Hugh has a pretty good grasp on his manners and tries *really* hard to be on his very best behavior. He has a really sweet and submissive play style when it comes to other dogs and loves having another canine companion to romp around the yard with.

Hugh is still perfecting his leash manners but does better and better with a little practice. He keeps a really clean kennel throughout the day and is really good about not destroying his toys or blanket.
