Buttercup - Shepherd Dog for Adoption in Defiance, Ohio

Look who's back!

Miss Buttercup recently found her way back to FDHS after spending nearly a year in her adoptive home. Unfortunately, some major life changes meant her family had to make the tough decision to return her, and now this pretty blonde girl is once again searching for a place to call home.

Let's be real, Buttercup is an absolute ray of sunshine. Between her cheerful personality and the cutest little grin she is always rocking, it's literally impossible not to fall in love with her. She loves her caregivers, makes fast friends with everyone she meets, and greets the world with a tail wag and her signature smile.

Buttercup has previously lived with young children and was an absolute angel with them. She has also shared her home with other dogs and is generally friendly with everyone, whether they walk on two legs or four.

This happy girl does have some tiny disclaimers: she could use a little brushing up on her leash and house manners. Luckily, Buttercup has excellent recall in the yard and loves spending time outside, whether she's exploring a fenced area or soaking up the sunshine with her people nearby.

Buttercup would make an excellent family dog for just about anyone. She's ready to find a family to spoil with her sweet smile and sunny personality.
