YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO MEET OUR PETS.
Lilly is a beautiful long legged hound who was found as a very skinny stray seeking shelter in someone’s back yard. She was taken to a county shelter and then pulled from the shelter into rescue.
She is a calm, gentle girl, probably about 7-8 years old.
Lilly is coming out of her shell a little bit more every day. She has now been moved to her second foster home with other dogs for company and lots of freedom and fresh air in a fenced yard.
She seems to view a kennel or crate as a safe place and does like having a place of her own to retreat to when she needs quiet time or is feeling insecure.
Lilly is very quiet but may find her voice on special occasions.
She has been fine with other dogs and calm around new ones. Other dogs seem to like her gentle spirit.
In her foster home, a cat jumped into her enclosure while she was out in the yard and she ignored the cat, so would probably be fine in a home with an easy going cat that liked dogs.
Lilly is starting to enjoy receiving affection, such as petting behind her ears and under her chin. Such kindnesses may be fairly new to her but she is receptive.
She is such a sweet girl and is gaining confidence and starting to get used to living a comfortable life in a family home.
She is still very thin, too thin to be spayed yet, but we will get that done after she gains some weight. Her appetite is good and she really appreciates treats in her food such as fresh chicken.
If you are looking for an appreciative, easy going companion who seems to simply get along with the world and not ask for much, please apply for lovely Lilly. She will thrive best in a home that is on the calmer side.
