Trim - Border Collie Dog for Adoption in High Point, North Carolina

YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO MEET OUR PETS.

Meet Trim, a handsome, long coated black and white purebred retired working (sheep herding on a farm) Border Collie with a big frame and an even bigger heart! At 8 years old and 47 pounds, this beautiful boy is in excellent health and ready to find a loving home to call his own.

Trim is a gentle soul who has so much love to give. He is a wonderful companion who enjoys getting out and exploring, whether going for a hike, taking a nice walk on the leash, or splashing around in the water for a swim. He does enjoy toys too.

He would love to have a fenced yard in his new home to run around and explore since he is used to lots of exercise and freedom herding sheep.

He has great recall, knows how to lie down, and is crate trained, making him a lovely addition to the right home. He has lived in a working dog kennel setting so will need house training instructions but he is super smart and obedient so that should be easy. He is fine being crated when family is not at home and use of a crate will help him acclimate to life in a family home.

Trim does well with kids and other female dogs, but if he could make a wish, it might be to have a person or family all to himself. He would love nothing more than to be your one and only, soaking up all the attention, affection, and love you have to give.

He will be neutered before adoption and that may make him more receptive to male dogs.

Trim has not been around cats so is not cat tested.

If you are looking for a loyal, gentle companion who is past the puppy antics and attitude but still enjoys adventures, Trim might just be your perfect match!

Adoption donation $300.

Please note that we do not ship animals. We also require a home visit before finalizing any adoptions so preference is given to applicants within a 90 mile range. You will be required to come to High Point, NC to meet/pick up your new pet.
