Hendrix - Greyhound Dog for Adoption in Allentown, Pennsylvania

Personality:
Hendrix is a social, friendly and affectionate boy with a confident, outgoing personality. He enjoys being around
people and seeks affection. Hendrix has a fun, goofy side and enjoys his zoomies.
FOSTERED for 3 weeks in a home, his foster-carer said; "He has honestly brought me so much joy over the past
couple of weeks. He's been such a lovely dog to have around and has settled into the home really well."
Foster-carer's Report:
"He's been sleeping really well, and his toileting has been amazing. He will let me know when he needs to go
outside, which has made things very easy. We've settled into a routine of two walks a day, and he has been
absolutely fantastic on lead-very respectful, doesn't pull, and is a pleasure to walk. So far, he's been out to a wine
bar, a local footy game, and Bunnings hardware store. Each time he needed a minute or two to take everything in,
but he settled very quickly and became comfortable in each environment. He's also great in the car and just curls
up and sleeps for the trip. He's met quite a few other dogs and has been doing really well. He's calm, polite, and
respectful around them. He's met my mum's French Bulldog and they got along really well. We've come across
both rabbits and cats on our walks, and while he definitely notices them and gets a little excited, he stays under
control. He doesn't bark or pull on the lead and responds well when redirected.
We did a nature walk with one of my friends and their Irish Wolfhound, and it went really well! Hendrix was
fantastic with the other dogs, both big and small, which was really lovely to see.
He's also been left at home for up to five hours at a time and has been wonderful. He simply puts himself to bed
and settles until I get home. Around the house, he's honestly been perfect. He doesn't jump on the furniture,
listens really well, follows directions, and even lets me eat my meals in peace without begging. To be completely
honest, I couldn't have asked for a better dog. He's affectionate, gentle, incredibly well-mannered, and has settled
into my home far quicker than I expected."
Overall Comments:
Hendrix is a delightful, affectionate and personable boy who would be best suited to a home with a backyard for
his zoomies and children aged 10 years or older. He could be considered as an only dog or potentially live with a
suitably matched small, medium or large dog. His enthusiasm and size mean a home without elderly residents
would be preferable.

The Greyhound is a breed known for its speed and agility, originally bred for hunting and racing. These elegant dogs have a sleek, muscular build, known for their long legs and deep chests. Despite their athletic prowess, they are gentle and good natured, making them excellent family pets. Greyhounds are known for their calm demeanor and low maintenance grooming needs, with a loving and loyal nature that endears them to their owners.
