Giggles - Greyhound Dog for Adoption in Allentown, Pennsylvania

Personality:
Giggles is a sweet, friendly and affectionate girl with a social, outgoing nature. She has a puppyish side to her
personality and can be a little quirky when out and about. She enjoys treats and takes them very gently from the
hand.
Despite being a well muscled girl, Giggles has shown herself to be very gentle and easy to handle. She was well
behaved for her bath and has been described as a lovely and pleasant dog to spend time with.
Behaviour Assessment:
Giggles initially showed quite a bit of interest when meeting other breed dogs, including prolonged sniffing and
some tracking. She was able to settle and disengage, and her second assessment showed good improvement.
During her second assessment, Giggles displayed polite and respectful behaviour with both medium and small
dogs, with a soft body and appropriate greetings. At times her puppyish nature came through and she could be
slightly overenthusiastic, but she broke away easily and disengaged well. On long lead she was able to follow and
then lose interest.
Off lead, Giggles was generally happy doing her own thing. She could become interested in the other dogs'
movement but was able to be diverted, particularly with treats.
Giggles completed her first 30-minute airline crate-training session well. She walked straight into the crate without
hesitation, rearranged her blanket a little and then settled down for the remainder of the session. On lead she does
not pull, although she can walk quite low to the ground displaying some puppyish behaviour at times.

Overall Comments:
Giggles is a friendly and affectionate girl who has done well in her interactions with other breed dogs both small
and medium sizes.
She combines a surprisingly gentle nature with the ability to handled new experiences well. Giggles may benefit
from continued guidance in her foster home with her puppyish enthusiasm and dog interactions, but overall she
presents as a sweet, social girl with plenty of personality.
