Meet Iris!

Iris is a 2 year old Pit mix who weighs approximately 50 pounds. She is a sassy, snuggly girl who loves couch time, belly rubs, sunbathing, and nestling into the neck of someone she trusts.

AT HOME: Iris is completely house trained and crate trained. She enjoys relaxing on the couch and rearranging the blankets and toys in her crate. Doors must be carefully managed because she may try to run outside if one is left open.

PEOPLE AND CHILDREN: Iris is cautious with new people and needs calm, slow introductions. She has had limited interaction with young children and usually watches them from her crate. A quiet home without young children would be best.

OTHER ANIMALS: Iris currently lives with dogs but needs slow, controlled introductions. She could potentially live with a calm, passive dog that respects her space. Cats are unknown.

MEDICAL: Iris recently began taking Reconcile daily to help with her anxiety. She can be sensitive when her paws are irritated and needs someone confident and patient when providing care.

BEST FIT: Iris needs a quiet, low traffic home with a patient, experienced handler who will provide structure, consistency, and help her continue building confidence. Experience using a prong collar is required. A securely fenced yard would be ideal.

All of our dogs are up to date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and on preventatives.
