Every season of Survivor has that contestant who doesn't feel the need to impress everyone the second they arrive. They're confident. Independent. Perfectly capable of figuring things out on their own. They aren't rude...they just haven't decided who they want to form an alliance with yet. Ladies and gentlemen...Meet Ozzy. If you've ever shared your life with a Great Pyrenees, you'll recognize his strategy immediately. While some puppies burst into a room acting like they've known you their entire lives, Ozzy takes a much more...professional approach. Ozzy operates under the completely reasonable assumption that perhaps the giant strangers should introduce themselves before attempting to scoop him up like they've been lifelong friends. After a couple of days, he reached his official verdict. And just like that, the walls came down. Now Ozzy comes running over to greet his people just like the rest of the puppies, happily joining in on the fun and proving that his trust isn't difficult to earn—it simply has to be earned. Once you're part of his circle, you're part of his circle. There's something incredibly charming about that. Ozzy doesn't hand out his confidence to every stranger who walks by. Instead, he builds real relationships, and somehow that makes every wag of his tail, every happy greeting, and every snuggle feel even more rewarding. And once you've made it onto Team Ozzy? You're going to wonder how you ever lived without him.

Ozzy Lusth is a 6-week-old, 11lb male Great Pyrenees/potential Anatolian Shepherd mix. Mom certainly looks like a purebred Great Pyrenees, but Dad has remained one of rescue's greatest unsolved mysteries. Much like a hidden immunity idol, everyone knows he existed...we just have no idea where he went. So until he decides to emerge from the jungle and identify himself, "potential Anatolian Shepherd mix" is our best educated guess. Ozzy arrived in rescue alongside his incredible mama, Carolyn, and all of his siblings after their little tribe found themselves abandoned with nowhere safe to go. Thankfully, a kind Samaritan stepped in and refused to let this family fend for themselves. The challenge, however, was that caring for one giant guardian mama and a whole tribe of rapidly growing puppies is no small task. As the babies got bigger, there was growing concern that Carolyn's milk supply might be drying up, and everyone feared the puppies weren't getting enough to eat. That's when the alliance everyone dreams of having came together. Fosters stepped forward without hesitation. Volunteers rearranged their schedules. Transporters hit the road. Formula appeared. Bottles were mixed around the clock. Sleep became more of a fond memory than a daily occurrence. Every person played a part, and together they gave this family exactly what they needed—a chance. Then, once Carolyn finally realized she and her babies were safe, something amazing happened: she started nursing again. ecause there were so many hungry little mouths to feed, the puppies still needed supplemental bottles, but between Carolyn's dedication and an incredible village of humans cheering her on, these puppies grew exactly as they should. Based on his growth, we'd estimate Ozzy will probably mature somewhere around 70-80 pounds...give or take. Could he be a little bigger? Absolutely. A little smaller? That's possible too. Can we tell you exactly how much he'll weigh? Suuuuuure....just as soon as Jeff Probst hands us the reward challenge that comes with a crystal ball. One thing we don't have to guess is the kind of dog Ozzy is becoming. He's thoughtful, observant, quietly confident, and already proving that sometimes the strongest Survivor players aren't the ones making the most noise—they're the ones patiently watching, figuring everything out, and building trust one wag at a time. And honestly? That's a pretty great strategy for life, too.

Ozzy may have a cautious approach to meeting new people, but when it comes to other dogs? Oh, he adores them. They're wise. They're calm. They seem to know where all the good napping spots are. Honestly, if Ozzy could cast votes for "Favorite Survivor Mentor," every single one would go to the resident adult dogs. He follows them around like they're seasoned veterans with all the answers, and they're more than happy to show him the ropes. It's incredibly sweet to watch. Cats, however, remain one of the few contestants who haven't made it onto his season yet. He hasn't officially met one, so we can't say for certain how that alliance would play out. Knowing Ozzy, though, he'd probably spend the first few minutes quietly observing from a respectful distance, conducting a full risk assessment, and deciding whether this strange little creature is friend, foe, or simply...confusing. Children introduced Ozzy to what was arguably his most dramatic Tribal Council moment yet. Picture it. You're six weeks old. You've only recently decided these foster humans seem reasonably trustworthy. Then suddenly a group of tiny humans appears with enough excitement to power a small city. "PUPPIES!!!"

Ozzy's immediate response? "Absolutely not." He politely but decisively scooted himself into the nearest corner to reconsider all of his life choices. Then, when one enthusiastic child attempted to pick him up before proper negotiations had taken place, Ozzy responded with the kind of theatrical protest normally reserved for contestants who just got blindsided with an immunity idol in their pocket. To hear him tell it, you'd think the poor boy was being escorted off the island. But here's the part that makes Ozzy so special. When the kids slowed down, lowered the excitement level, gave him space, and let him decide when he was ready....Everything changed. Ozzy quietly allowed himself to be picked up, relaxed completely, and discovered that maybe...just maybe...these tiny humans weren't so scary after all. That's Ozzy in a nutshell. He isn't looking for someone to overwhelm him with affection five seconds after meeting him. He's looking for someone who understands that trust is earned, not demanded. Once you give him that chance, you'll discover what his foster family already knows... Being voted into Ozzy's alliance is one of the best rewards on the island.

Ozzy's energy level lands at a very balanced 5 out of 10, which, in our completely unbiased opinion, might just be the sweet spot of puppyhood. He's not one of those puppies who wakes up every morning determined to recreate an action movie. He enjoys a good romp, loves playing with his siblings, investigates important puppy business, and then crashes into a nap. To be fair, growing into a future gentle giant is exhausting work. What really makes Ozzy stand out, though, isn't his energy level—it's his wonderfully authentic Great Pyrenees personality. He's observant. He's the puppy sitting quietly in the back of Tribal Council, watching everyone else make emotional decisions while he's carefully gathering information. He's figuring out who you are before deciding whether you're worthy of joining his alliance. There's something incredibly rewarding about that kind of personality. Ozzy reminds us that not every friendship has to happen in the first five minutes. Sometimes the very best relationships are built on mutual trust, a little patience, and the idea that not everything has to happen "right now". And once Ozzy decides you are his person? You're in his alliance for life.

Well...you made it. Which means one of two things. Either you're genuinely interested in adopting Ozzy...Or you've become emotionally invested in the tiny, fluffy Great Pyrenees who politely interviews you before deciding whether you're worthy of joining his alliance. Honestly, both are perfectly reasonable outcomes. If you've decided Ozzy is the Sole Survivor you've been searching for, then congratulations! It's time for your first reward challenge. Thankfully, we've made this one much easier than the ones on TV. No balancing on tiny platforms. No swimming across muddy lagoons. No eating mystery bugs that Jeff Probst insists are a "local delicacy." Instead, all you have to do is fill out an adoption application. Once you complete the application, we'll send it over to Ozzy's foster family so they can get to know you and determine if you're the best lifelong match. Around here, we don't crown the fastest applicant—we're looking for the right alliance, because forever is a lot longer than 26 days.
