DESCRIPTION

Minnie is a sweet Tennessee stray who's ready to find her forever home. With her soft coat and gentle soul, this people-pleasing Pyr is equal parts couch potato and outdoor adventurer: perfectly happy to snooze the afternoon away on her dog bed, but absolutely ready to zoom around the yard like she's been saving up energy all week. Her true personality really shines outside, where she'll play her heart out before coming back in to lounge like the royalty she is. Minnie is fully housebroken, leash-trained, and crate-trained, and she walks so nicely on leash that a toddler can hold her. She's working on basic commands and is very treat-motivated. She's curious about the world around her but has no interest in escaping she'd much rather stay close to her people and observe the neighborhood from a comfortable spot in the yard.

When it comes to the other residents of a home, Minnie is wonderfully easygoing. She gets along great with other dogs and absolutely loves cats, happy to get rowdy with a cat who's up for it or leave well enough alone if they're not. She's a total love bug with new people no jumping, very respectful of personal space, just a polite little nudge on the hand when she'd like more scratches, please. She does well with kids but would thrive in a slightly calmer household; the resident toddler energy can be a lot for her, though she handles it graciously.

A few fun Minnie facts: she will not get on your bed or couch no matter how many times you invite her, but she's perfectly happy to have you join her on her dog bed for some cuddles. She loves a good plushy toy, a satisfying chew, and anything youd like to gift her from the deli drawer. She occasionally dumps her food out to eat it off the floor. And she has claimed the closet as her personal sanctuary.

Minnie would do beautifully in a home with outdoor space and a four-foot fence, or with a family committed to regular leash walks. She'll thrive with or without other pets, and with any age of humans who appreciate a calm, affectionate, and deeply good girl.
