Meet Ice, a sweet and silly boy who came to us from a shelter in South Carolina and is now ready to find his forever family! This confident, curious pup brings moderate energy to everything he does — whether he's playing outside, soaking up the sun, or cuddling indoors with his people. He hasn't met a stranger yet, and his friendly, lovable nature makes him an absolute joy to be around. Ice is wonderfully well-mannered and comes fully equipped for home life: he's housebroken, leash trained, and crate trained, with good house manners to match. He does great with cats, dogs, other animals, kids, and new people alike — though he'd also be perfectly happy as an only dog if that's the right fit. A 4-foot fence will keep this guy safely contained, and since he has no interest in digging or barking, your yard is in good hands! When it comes to the good life, Ice knows exactly what he likes: being petted, going on car rides, playing with soccer balls, meeting new friends, and watching “Bluey.” He's also a music lover — his favorite artist is Prince, naturally. Motivating him is easy, too, since cheese, chicken, and dried salmon are all reliable ways to his heart. He has no fears or dislikes to speak of; he's simply a happy, confident boy who's grateful to be in rescue. Ice would thrive in an active family who loves spending time together and wants a sweet, playful companion by their side. If you're looking for a best boy who will bring laughter, love, and maybe a little “Let's Go Crazy” energy into your home, Ice is your guy!

Due to the high level of interest we can't respond to emails unless an application has been submitted.
Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
