Meet Max!

Max is a Golden Doodle who is around 3 years old. He is a big boy, standing almost waist-high next to his human friends! Max arrived at the shelter as an owner surrender because his previous family no longer had enough time to care for him. Now, he’s searching for his forever family!

Max is a friendly boy who can be a little timid when meeting new people at first. After all, he’s recently gone through a big transition from a home environment to a busy and noisy kennel, so it’s understandable that he may need a little time to feel comfortable. The good news? Max warms up quickly when yummy snacks are involved! He is very treat motivated and has discovered that snacks are a great way to make new friends. Once Max gets to know his people, he enjoys soaking up pets and affection. He may even jump up for a hug now and then—sometimes forgetting just how big he is!

Max would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a walking buddy who is also happy to cuddle up with his people at the end of the day!

His ideal home:
* Dogs: Max has the potential to live with another dog. A meet-and-greet with any dogs in the home would take place at the shelter to make sure everyone is a good match.
* Cats: Max has the potential to live with a cat with proper introductions.
* Children: Max would do well with kiddos aged 8 and older.

Max is available now! He will need to go home through our Foster-to-Adopt program while he waits for his upcoming neuter procedure. Once his surgery is complete, his adoption can be finalized!
