DESCRIPTION

Meet Biscuit - Your New Adventure Buddy

Biscuit is a handsome, affectionate 3-year-old boy with a big personality, an adventurous spirit, and LOTS of love—and kisses—to give!

Biscuit is a smart, loyal and attentive dog who loves being part of the action. He is very aware of his surroundings and has the most adorable way of tilting his head and perking up his ears when something catches his curiosity. And if you’re looking for an adventure buddy, Biscuit may be your guy!

Biscuit's Personality:
- Sweet and affectionate
- Loves her people
- Loves her toys
- Loves car rides
- Social and friendly
- Ready to be a part of the family

Biscuit absolutely loves to swim! He also enjoys going for walks, taking car rides and spending time outside with his people. He would thrive with an active family who enjoys including their dog in everyday life and adventures.

His energy level is around an 8/10 when he’s ready to get out and play, but after a good walk or some exercise, he settles down. A home with a securely fenced yard where Biscuit can run, play and burn off some energy would be ideal. Or a home that is active and likes to go on walks and or do things outside if weather is nice.

Biscuit's Training & Compatibility:
- Potty trained
- Crate trained
- Great with both men and women
- Great with children of all ages
- Great with other dogs of all sizes
- Great with cats in the home

And he knows several commands, including Sit, Stay, Down, Come, Leave It and Crate. With his intelligence and extremely high treat motivation, continued positive-reinforcement training should be something Biscuit really enjoys.

Biscuit has been around other dogs his entire life and is dog friendly. He has also lived around cats and does well with them as well. He has experience around children of different ages, including a newborn, a 2-year-old and a 5-year-old.

Biscuit is affectionate and absolutely LOVES giving kisses! He’s enthusiastic when meeting people and can sometimes jump up to say hello, so he’ll benefit from continued reinforcement of polite greetings and keeping all four paws on the floor. Biscuit is also an alert boy. He will let you know when someone is at the door with his bark, but this is alert barking, not aggressive guarding behavior.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Biscuit apparently has some very strong opinions about birds! His prey drive toward birds is high, so his future family should be mindful around them. His interest in things such as squirrels or unfamiliar cats outdoors can vary, so keeping him safely leashed during walks will be important.

Vet Care:
- Neutered
- Vaccinated
- Microchipped
- On Prevention
- Health Certificate before transport

Biscuit’s perfect family would be active, loving and ready to make him part of their everyday life. He would especially love a home with a yard, regular walks, plenty of exercise, swimming opportunities since he knows how to swim and people who enjoy having a four-legged companion along for the ride. Or camping, hiking.

Biscuit does experience separation anxiety, so he would be happiest with a family willing to help him continue building confidence and comfort when he’s alone. He is crate trained and currently stays safely in his crate when no one is home.

Most of all, Biscuit is looking for someone who will appreciate the wonderful dog he already is while continuing to give him the exercise, structure and love he needs to thrive. He had a family that loved him and his fur sister, a Doberman named Freya and their kitty cats. But his mom and dad got a job outside of the country and now have to move to where they cannot bring their animals. So Biscuit is used to a loving family with fur sisters and brothers. They want Biscuit to go to a loving family just like their family, so they reached out to us for help in finding them Biscuits new loving family.

At just 3 years of age, Biscuit has so much life, love and adventure ahead of him. He’s ready to find his new furever loving family. He is sad his current family has to move and can’t take him or his fur siblings, but he knows he will bring a lot of love and laughter as well as amazing adventures to his new family that will love calling him their new companion.
