DESCRIPTION

There is something wonderfully heavenly about Cinnamon Roll, and it goes far beyond her soft coat and beautiful face. She feels like sunny afternoons in the backyard, a tennis ball rolling through the grass, quiet car rides with a golden head resting behind your shoulder, a gentle dog curled nearby while home carries on around her. Just shy of a year old, Cinnamon Roll has that dreamy combination people hope to find in a Golden Retriever type- loving, playful, and remarkably gentle with the people and animals around her. She is still young, still learning what life inside a home can be, and somehow already feels like the kind of dog who was made to be someones whole world.

Go watch Cinnamon Roll on YouTube and meet the golden girl behind that sweet face. Her video captures what words can only get so close to describing- a young dog with a soft spirit, an easy joy, and the kind of presence that makes imagining her as part of your everyday life come very easy. https://youtu.be/O-3nEYR9IZ8

Give Cinnamon Roll something to play with and she is delighted. Tennis ball? Absolutely. Giant ball? YES! Frisbee? Wonderful. Will you throw it? Random stick she found outside? So affordable! She loves to play and will happily run and romp, but one of the loveliest things about her is how well she adjusts to whoever is in front of her. With a calm dog, she settles right into that energy. Introduce a playful dog and she is ready to run alongside them. She shares toys, waits patiently while other dogs receive treats, shares human attention without issue, and consistently shows excellent social cues.

People get that same thoughtful version of her. Cinnamon Roll is confident, affectionate and incredibly gentle. She happily meets new people, including men, and loves attention without being demanding about it. She handles the activity, noises and general hustle of new places beautifully and recoveres almost immediately anytime something makes her uncertain. There is a quiet resilience to this girl. She doesn't make a production out of much.

And then there is her relationship with furniture, which is almost comically polite. Cinnamon Roll has spent much of her young life outdoors and is still learning that living inside a home comes with some pretty fantastic perks. She currently has no assumption whatsoever that the couch belongs to her. In fact, she would prefer to keep all four feet respectfully on the floor unless someone specifically helps her up. Once placed on the couch, she remembers that cuddles often follow which she always relaxes into, needless to say, if you want her to and encourage it she will reconsider her stance on the whole furniture thing. BUT, If you have always dreamed of a dog who waits for an invitation before climbing onto the sofa, Cinnamon Roll arrived with that setting pre-installed.

She is also great in the car and can be an apartment-friendly dog with appropriate daily exercise. On leash, her enthusiasm for other dogs sometimes gets ahead of her manners and she may bark or pull because she wants to meet them, but she responds well to correction and redirection. Her leash skills are something to keep polishing rather than a major concern.

Cinnamon Roll currently lives in an adoring foster home with other animals and has shown herself to be wonderfully social with dogs and respectful of cats. She would be lovely with canine siblings, special request for an easy-going, bouncy friend, but she doesn't need another dog. She is secure, adaptable and very much a middle-of-the-pack kind of girl. She can join the romp without becoming the ringleader and enjoy the quiet without needing to disappear into the background.

For a first-time dog owner, a family looking for a young dog with a gentle temperament, or someone who simply wants a companion who can play outside and then relax and enjoy the indoor life, Cinnamon Roll has so much going for her. More than a few people have described her as having the temperament of a therapy dog, and it is easy to understand why. She is calm without being timid, confident without being pushy, playful without being overwhelming, and loving without demanding every ounce of your attention.

Cinnamon Roll still has things to learn and experience about the big wide world, but the important stuff seems to have come naturally. Kindness. Patience. Gentleness. Trust. A good read on other dogs. A soft mouth taking treats. And clear understandings about waiting for permission before getting on your couch. Hello heavenly baby!
