There are puppies that are cute... and then there are puppies that have so much personality packed into their chunky little bodies that you can't help but smile every time you see them. That's Elton John.

Between his adorable puppy belly, his love for toys, his eagerness to earn another treat, and the way he'll happily curl up for cuddles after playtime, this little guy is already stealing hearts everywhere he goes. He's sweet, smart, playful, and just has one of those personalities that makes you think, "Yep... this one's going to be an amazing dog."

Elton is believed to be approximately 4 months old and currently weighs about 18 pounds. As with any rescue puppy, his exact breed is always a mystery, but our best guess is he's a Black Mouth Cur and Pittie mix. Whatever combination created him also gave him an adorable face, a stocky little puppy body, and a personality that's every bit as lovable as it looks.

One of our favorite things about Elton is how much he genuinely enjoys interacting with people. He's playful without being wild, loves carrying toys around and starting little games, and is always excited to see what's happening around him. He has such a happy, easygoing disposition that he's simply fun to be around. Once he's gotten some of those puppy wiggles out, he's more than happy to climb into your lap, soak up a few cuddles, and remind you that he's still just a baby.

Elton is also one smart cookie. He absolutely loves treats, which makes learning feel more like a game than work. He's eager to please, enjoys engaging with people, and already seems like the kind of puppy who's going to love training sessions because they mean spending time with his family (and maybe earning a snack or two). We think he's going to have a blast continuing to learn as he grows.

Like every puppy his age, Elton is still discovering the world one day at a time. Right now, his days are filled with playtime, naps, mealtime, and new experiences that help him build confidence and learn what it means to be part of a family. Watching a puppy grow through this stage is incredibly rewarding, and Elton is ready for a family who will help him become the wonderful adult dog he's meant to be.

Bringing home a puppy is a big commitment, but it's also one of the most rewarding adventures you'll ever have. Elton will need a family that's ready to continue teaching him all the important puppy skills like potty training, crate training, leash walking, basic manners, and positive socialization. Before the adoption is finalized, you will meet your pet through a video call, creating a fun and personalized experience!

The adoption fee is $1600 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dogs growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+.
