Ben is a gentle, soulful 3-year-old Golden Retriever mix with a quiet spirit and a heart that’s learning how to trust. After spending his entire life surviving on his own in a field, Ben is now discovering what safety, comfort, and kindness feel like and he’s making steady, beautiful progress.

Ben is currently recovering from heartworm treatment and is doing well. He’s fully vetted and on his way to a healthier, brighter future.

This sweet boy is naturally shy and will need a patient, understanding adopter who’s willing to give him time and space to come out of his shell. He’s not the kind of dog who will rush up for attention right away, but once he begins to trust you, those small moments of connection feel incredibly special.

Ben is a calm, low-energy companion who enjoys the simple things in life, especially lounging in the sunshine. He’s very independent and would do well in a peaceful home where he can continue to build confidence at his own pace.
