DESCRIPTION
Meet Sapphire!
Sapphire is a 4-year-old black lab mix who was rescued from the Dallas Animal Shelter with her puppies. She still needs to be spayed, but is up to date on her vaccines.
Sapphire is an energetic girl who needs a patient, understanding family willing to give her the time to learn how to be a family pet. She gets along great with kids, but prefers older children. She was most likely mistreated and neglected before coming to the rescue so she can be a bit timid, especially with men, and needs time to warm up to new people and situations.
Sapphire is dog selective, so she would be fine as the only dog in the home.
She is very sweet, food-motivated and quick to learn. Sapphire is crate trained and knows she needs to potty outside.
She will make a wonderful family dog so long her adopter gives her the patience, love and attention she needs to blossom into her full potential.
To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquires but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
ABOUT: LABRADOR RETRIEVER DOG BREED
The Labrador Retriever is a popular and versatile dog breed known for its friendly demeanor and high intelligence. These dogs are often used as guide dogs for the visually impaired, search and rescue dogs, and excellent family pets. Labradors are known for their great sense of smell, strong build, and love of water, making them exceptional hunters and swimmers. With their loyal and loving nature, Labradors have rightfully earned their reputation as one of the most beloved dog breeds in the world.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
