Valentina is a sweet, intelligent, and loyal 3 year old German Shepherd looking for an active, committed home.

Her favorite activities are walking and swimming, and regular exercise helps her feel happy, calm, and relaxed. She would thrive with a person or family who will include her in daily life and provide plenty of physical activity and enrichment.

Valentina does well with children and adults. Like many German Shepherds, she may bark when delivery drivers or unfamiliar visitors arrive.

She does have a prey drive and enjoys chasing squirrels, rabbits, and deer, so her current compatibility with cats is unknown. She listens well and can be redirected, but a cat free home may be the safest fit.

Valentina can do well with other dogs, but she will need a proper introduction and plenty of time and space to acclimate. She is accustomed to being the only dog in her home, though she has played appropriately with other dogs once she feels comfortable.

German Shepherd or similar breed experience is preferred, or adopters should be prepared to research the breed and understand their exercise, training, and enrichment needs. Valentina is ready for a stable, loving forever home where she can be an important part of the family.
