Gunner - German Shepherd Dog Dog for Adoption in Denver, Colorado

Gunner came to us as an owner surrender with we think very little prior socialization. He has since completed a professional board-and-train program and made great progress, but he will require a very confident, German Shepherd-experienced owner.

When Gunner arrived in training, he was insecure, untrained, and easily overstimulated, which led to excessive barking and some nipping behaviors. With consistent, calm, and confident handling, he has learned structure, boundaries, and basic commands.

Gunner will do best as the only dog in the home, as other dogs can cause him to become overstimulated. He is looking for a quiet, adult-only home (no children) with a single person or couple committed to continuing his training and providing strong leadership.

The trainer is offering a complimentary session to help with Gunner's transition, along with discounted follow-up sessions.

With the right person, Gunner will show just how affectionate, loyal, and devoted he truly is.
