Queen is a beautiful 2-year-old German Shepherd with a laid-back, independent personality and plenty of love for the great outdoors. She enjoys spending time outside and would be thrilled to have a family who loves taking long walks and exploring together. Queen gets along with other dogs, but she can be a bit dominant and would likely be happiest as the only dog in the home, where she can be the center of attention. A home without cats is recommended. This active girl would love a large, securely fenced yard where she can stretch her legs, run, and burn off some of her energy. She is a smart dog who is eager to learn, and she would benefit from obedience training and learning basic commands such as “sit.” An adopter with previous German Shepherd experience would be preferred and would be a great match for Queen. Queen's gorgeous, long coat also means she will need regular brushing and occasional professional grooming to keep her looking and feeling her best. If you're looking for a smart, independent companion who enjoys an active lifestyle and plenty of outdoor time, Queen may be the girl for you! If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. My adoption fee is $100
