Hi, I'm Hansel. Yes, Hansel, like the famous guy who went into the woods with Gretel. But unlike my namesake, I promise I'm not planning to leave breadcrumbs everywhere. Mostly because I'm a German Shepherd, and I have much better navigation skills than that.

I'm a 3 year old, 94 lb. handsome gentleman who absolutely loves my people. I can be a little reserved when I first meet someone, but give me a little time to decide you're cool and suddenly we're best friends. Once I'm comfortable, I'm all about being near my people, getting affection, and joining in on whatever adventure you have planned!

I'm also a German Shepherd, which means I come with a built-in activity subscription. I enjoy getting out, exploring, walking, and doing things with my humans. I'd love a family who wants an active companion and will keep my brain and body busy.

I do well with other dogs, especially the calm and collected types. Cats? We're not sure yet, so for now, I'm looking for a cat-free home. I'd do best with kids 8 and older who understand that even a friendly guy like me sometimes needs a little personal space. Respect my boundaries, and I'll be your loyal sidekick.

Now, there is one tiny detail you should probably know about me. I can jump. And when I say jump, I mean I have successfully cleared fences around 4 feet tall. Apparently, I was not informed that fences were supposed to be a challenge rather than a suggestion. Because of my impressive athletic abilities, I'll need a securely fenced yard with something higher than 4 feet.
