Some dogs walk into your life like a gentle reminder that good hearts still exist. That is me, Maddie!

I am a 6 year old, 77 lb. German Shepherd with a soft heart, an active spirit, and a deep love for my people. I enjoy being part of the world around me, whether that is going on walks, exploring new places, or simply spending time with someone I trust.

Even though I am an adult dog, I still have a nice balance of being active and enjoying my adventures, while also loving my quiet, cozy time indoors. I also love learning and thrive when I have structure, patience, and clear guidance. I feel most confident when I know what is expected of me and when I can build a strong connection with my person through positive training and consistency.

I prefer a calm environment where I can feel safe and settled. I do not enjoy sharing my space with other animals, so I would be happiest as the only pet in the home. I would also appreciate a home with children over the age of 7 who understand that sometimes I may need a little space to feel comfortable and relaxed. I would do best in a home without cats.

I am ready for a family who will continue to guide me with kindness, structure, and patience. I respond beautifully when I feel understood and supported. In the right home, I will not just be a dog. I will be a loyal companion, a steady presence, and a soft place to land at the end of every day!

My adoption fee is $295 and I'm spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
