Peg Leg Pete - German Shepherd Dog and Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler Dog for Adoption in Liverpool, Texas

Meet Pegleg Pete – A Gentle, Resilient Boy Ready for His Family - Transport Available Nationwide

Three legs, one nub tail, and endless love. That's me in a nutshell!

My name is Pegleg Pete, and I'm a young German Shepherd and Cattle Dog mix. My life took a hard turn when I was hit by a car. My injured leg didn't heal properly and had been through serious trauma, so my rescuers chose amputation to give me a comfortable, happy life. I've adjusted beautifully and haven't looked back since.

My gentle, calm personality is what saved me when I was facing euthanasia, and it's still one of my best qualities. I'm wonderful with kids, I get along with other dogs, and I've never met a person I didn't like.

I'm leash trained, kennel trained, and ready to walk, run, and play alongside you. When the fun is over, I just want to hang out with my people and be part of the family.

I've overcome so much, and now all I need is a home to call my own.

Pegleg Pete is fully vetted and ready to go. If you're interested in meeting Pegleg Pete, click on the "Start your Inquiry" button to fill out an Adoption Inquiry Form or visit our website and fill out an application at www.lonestarpawz.com.
