MEET MAXINE — A SWEET MAMA READY FOR HER TURN!
Hi everyone, my name is Maxine! I’m approximately two years old, weigh around 45 pounds, and my people think I’m a Shepherd mix. I’m currently a little underweight and could stand to gain a few pounds, but don’t worry—I’m working on it!
My people say I’m an incredibly sweet, happy girl who loves everyone I meet. I also get along well with other dogs and enjoy having canine friends around.
One of the great things about me is that I’m pretty adaptable when it comes to activity. I’m on the calmer side and don’t require hours of exercise every day. Give me a nice daily stroll followed by some quality time relaxing with my people, and I’m perfectly content.
But if you’re looking for a companion who can be a little more adventurous, I’m up for that too! Walks, outings, maybe even some hiking—I’m game. I just want you to know that when it’s time to relax, I have absolutely no problem embracing my inner couch potato.
I’m already house trained and crate trained, and I walk nicely on a leash. I’m also not one of those dogs who feels the need to bark at every little thing. I’m just a pretty easygoing girl looking for a family to love.
My journey into rescue started when I was found in a rural area with two puppies in tow. Yep, I was a mama trying to take care of my babies all by myself. Thankfully, someone came along and helped us, and we were brought safely into rescue.
My puppies, Milo and Murphy, may be looking for their forever homes on Petfinder too. I did my job raising my babies, and now I think it’s finally Mama Maxine’s turn to find a family of her very own.
I am spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, happy girl who can enjoy an adventure one day and happily lounge with you the next, I just might be the one.
Please email kamcdm@yahoo.com for adoption application instructions and additional information.
Maxine took care of her babies. Now she’s ready for someone to take care of her.
