Stevie is a shepherd mix, approximately 4 months old, and is currently being fostered in South Central Wisconsin. Her journey began in Texas, where she and her sister were found in a crate outside a Dollar General. Now she's safe in Wisconsin and ready to find her forever family!

Since settling into her foster home, Stevie has come out of her shell and is blossoming into a happy, playful puppy. She's full of silly, lovable puppy energy! She settles into her crate and sleeps through the night most nights. Aside from a few accidents during her first few days, she's been doing well with house training.

Stevie loves playing with her big, furry foster brother and spending time with the kids in the home. She's still a little unsure about walking on a leash, but patience and encouragement will help her build confidence.

Like most puppies, Stevie is curious and loves to chew, so she'll need plenty of toys and gentle redirection as she learns. She hasn't been tested with cats yet, so we don't know how she would do with feline friends.

We think Stevie could do well as an only dog, but she would also benefit from a confident, playful canine companion to show her the ropes.
