Lyra is a wonderful 7-year-old German Shepherd who recently came to Wisconsin from Texas. While we don't know much about her past, we do know one thing for certain: she deserves a loving home where she can spend her golden years surrounded by kindness, comfort, and unconditional love.

Lyra is an absolute sweetheart! She adjusted quickly to our home and her new routine. She is fully potty-trained, wonderfully calm, and rarely barks. So far, the only time she has barked was while she was in the yard as we gardened. She wanted to join us because everyone else was together and she didn't want to be left out! She's your typical Velcro Shepherd who loves staying close to her people and would make a wonderful, devoted companion.

Lyra does wonderfully with small children, cats, and both large and small dogs, making her a wonderful addition to the right family. She also sheds much less than the other German Shepherds we've fostered—and far less than you might expect from a German Shepherd!
