Meet Apache
Currently fostered in Upstate New York
Apache is a young dog with the perfect mix of intelligence, instinct, and a genuinely gentle nature. With a mom who is reportedly a Great Pyrenees and a dad who is reportedly a German Shepherd, he brings together the best qualities of both breeds—loyalty, awareness, and a strong desire to connect with his people.
Born in August 2025, Apache is still very much a puppy, just in a larger, growing body. He is expected to reach 80–100 pounds full grown, and already has that classic big-dog-in-training presence paired with a soft, affectionate personality.
Apache is well ahead of the curve for his age. He is leash trained, crate trained, and potty trained when kept on a consistent schedule. He already knows basic commands and has even picked up a few tricks. He naturally retrieves and brings items back, catches treats mid-air, and shows focused attention when something captures his interest—traits that reflect both his intelligence and his working-dog instincts.
Despite his size and potential, Apache is a true “lover boy.” He is friendly, social, and eager to be part of a family. He gets along well with other dogs, does great with children, and is expected to do well with cats. He does not have a mean bone in his body.
Apache would thrive in a home that will continue to guide him as he grows, providing structure, consistency, and plenty of opportunity to bond. In return, he offers the kind of loyalty, companionship, and presence that only a dog like him can.
He is currently being fostered in northern New York and is ready to find his forever home.
