Golden Retriever Dogs Available for Adoption in Fosters, Alabama

“Hi. I’m Canyon.

I came from a hoarding situation, which means the world is still a really big, scary place to me right now. My whole life has been very small. I’ve only really known one person, very little handling, and not much of the normal puppy experience other dogs get.

So if I seem shy or unsure, I’m not being difficult. I’m learning.

Learning that hands can be gentle.
Learning that leashes aren’t scary.
Learning that new people can mean safety instead of fear.
Learning what it feels like to finally breathe.

The good news? Underneath the nervousness is a sweet golden boy who wants to trust so badly. Every day I get a little braver. A little softer. A little more curious about this strange world and the humans in it.

I’m going to need a patient home. One that understands I may not come barreling into your house like a confident social media golden retriever who steals sandwiches and knows 14 commands. I may need time. Space. Kindness. Consistency.

But dogs like me? When we finally trust you…we trust with our whole hearts.

And honestly? Watching a scared dog realize they are finally safe is one of the best feelings on earth.

We are located in Fosters, AL and can transport North to an adopter for an additional $200. We make stops in CT, PA, VT and anywhere along our route!
